An interesting 740 limo in silver (not black!) with a vinyl sunroof (for want of the proper technical name).

I don't know if anyone has noticed but it advertised as a 1999 and it has 1999 plates!
It looks more 1989 than anything as they certainly had stopped making 740s by 1991ish?!!!!

Maybe it was stretched in 1999 and got new plates then?

From the auction description it wasn't registered until 1999. If it was registered in 89 then modified in 99 it would not be able to have newer plates.

Would love to know how it sat around for that long. Having said that there are plenty of cars/vans/trucks sat in storage yards for years and years without use, they just get 'lost'.

Well maybe these limos are special build and can be reg any time. Not made by Volvo.
