  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Question repair seat belt spooler

hi all,

the rear seatbelt in the boot of the estate will not rewind and has to fed back manually. Are these easy to repair or am I better going and getting a replacement ?.

Probably best to just go out and get a replacement belt spool either 2nd hand or new one shouldn't be too much. I think if you look at it then it'll say something like "do not open - sealed unit" and it is because there's a great big spring in there. And a free'd spring could do something nasty like 'spring' into your eye. So unless the fault is superficial to the unit, I'd get a replacment.
