Default V70 Convertible Hood Not Lowering

First post on here so please be gentle with me. I'm looking at a 2005 V70 Convertible but the hood doesn't lower. When the hood up/down button is pressed nothing happens. No sound of motors running just an alarm sounding to say the it not in the right position. Any suggestions what the fault could be and how to fix it? Thanks.

I think you may mean C70 convertible, you need to post your request for help in the relative website section ie here https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=16

That said, the hood will not operate unless you are stopped on level ground, with the hand brake applied, with the engine running, in neutral if it is a manual or in park if it is an automatic vehicle. Only then will the hood operate.
If it still doesn't operate check the fuses, there's a fuse number key in each fuse box (rh end of dash & under bonnet check also the relays)

I'd love to see a V70 convertible.

Here's a video of an XC70 being converted. It's why I bought one.

I always remember this video. One of reason why I bought V70 (xc70 was out of my budget).
