I paid about the same just to fix my rear arches 'cos I really like the car.

Anyway, if you still have the bits unless that guy who pm'd you bought the whole thing I'll wait to hear from you
Ralnavman - a scrapyard near myself has a similar 440 in to this one which I now own. If you are still needing an aerial, I can find out the price which the yard wants for you, and would be prepared to send you it for whatever it costs plus postage. Just let me know

Hi Joseph, sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I didn't get to see the replies, including the fact that you had bought the whole car. Yes please, if its not too late, I certainly am interested in the aerial as long as it works or at least the sliding mast is intact.
I wouldn't want to be a pain or take advantage but I don't get 440's in our scrapyards round here and I am keen to keep mine alive.
Don't know whether you are aware but the rear parcel shelf 'hinges' onto a trim piece on which the speaker is mounted, it often breaks off & I'm looking to replace mine. Is the scrap car a SRS model there is another piece of trim that secures the door card on.

Whilst my car is fully functioning, both my central locking and alarm aren't working which I'm currently trying to resolve. A source like yours would be extremely useful if necessary.

All the best with your 440, greatly underestimated car!!

Hi there,

That is no problem, and yes I am now the proud owner of Ian's old 440. Posts and photos will follow.

As for your parts requests I don't mind doing this at all, if it helps someone out then I am happy to help.

I will certainly have a look and see if both cars are still available at the yard in question, they are fairly slow to crush their stock so it could well be the case that they are still there.

I will let you know if they are, and we can arrange the bits you need.

Best wishes,

Joe
