Hi all,
Been reading with interest the debate about tyre vs bearing noise. My 2000 1.8 V40 has a very annoying droning coming from the rear n/s. It audible from 20mph upwards. It stops when taking a left hand bend. I was convinced it's the bearing but now I'm not too sure. So what's the general consensus?? Any advice, gratefully received.

would e interested in the cost of the rear bearing when you have sourced one. I had my s40 2004 new shape for just over a year. when i got it had to replace he rear bearing the only two places i could get it from were main delear or nordic parts both about the same price of £135 if i remember correctly.

Mines done now rear one andrew page £68 front one £28 GSF best thing with any noise is to jack it up and spin the wheel you will hear a dry/worn bearing i did shes like a new one now YIPPEE.
