Default 140 hour Pin Decode

Hi all,

It's my first time decoding the pin for our 2011 Volvo V70 SE Jap import.

I've read a few articles saying it takes between 12-24 hours... however mine says 140+!!!!
  1. The car is plugged into a charger
  2. Laptop's plugged in
  3. Interenet speed's around 40mbs
  4. using mongoose cable from Mat

Does anyone have any tips to reduce it down?

Here's a picture of the VDASH dashboard

What charger are you using?

Reading the CEM takes about of juice.

Ideally you want one that outputs at least 10amps, I used a 20amp charger and battery voltage never dropped below 13.5V.

That was about 4hrs on P3TOOL that didn't find the pin.
Then about 25mins on VDASH
Wish I'd tried VDASH first.

Also try clearing the error codes before searching the pin, that could also be stopping the search.

Thank you!

Will try all of the above. I had the car charger on slow charge so will ramp it!

When I started mine it stated 19 hours, but took about 12.
What’s the ping rate showing in vdash?
I originally used a 5 amp smart charger but it aborted due to voltage dipping below 12. Ended up buying a 10a charger and that worked fine.
