Only my 850 there was a tiny hose deep in the bowels of the engine that had split. Its about 4 inches long and 5-6mm o/d.

It might not be there on the newer engines but an exploded diagram would be a help if theres no obvious air leak. I agree you can usually hear them.

Still worth a clean - only needs a small amount of crud around the valve "hinges" to give that sticky jerky valve motion that causes the idle problem. Take it off, lay it on some paper towels or rags and squirt it through with carb cleaner - focus on the hinge regions and use a small brush to help get any gunge out.

Right I have changed the pcv valve and cleaned the ecm (which was pretty clean) car ran great at first but after 30 mins or so and coup0le of stops started being funny again it did some hunting up and down,
it also did some revving to 2k without my foot on throttle then while driving it had no power and hardly went above 1500 revs but would go up to 30

also while it was sat at 1000 revs engine was rumbling like hell

after it was parked for 20 min was fine again think I need get it code read

I don't get the emission service check that's coming up walong with system service check

Fingers crossed

That sensor probably isn't expensive - is it a variable resistor or a twin microswitch? probably the former i'd have thought.
