Default Rear oxygen sensor

Help needed rear oxygen sensor has an intermittent fault changed it twice okay for a few weeks. I put the original one back in lasted for couple of months now showing up as faulty. Did I read somewhere that there is a fault with the wiring or connection MOT due shortly

Cleared fault code fingers crossed just now. I can't remember the code just now but it was for the rear sensor , the car runs fine even when the engine light is on if it comes on again I will take a note of it thanks for your reply anyway 👍

The rear O2 sensor doesn't affect the way the car runs because it doesn't make any adjustments to the ecu, it only monitors the exhaust emissions after the cat to establish whether the cat is doing it's job !
However,. it may mean an mot failure if the EML is lit at the time of the mot.

Could the fault code be related to high emissions ?
