Hi all

Just collected a V60 this morning and just want some advice if possible

It comes with a volvo towbar however looking at the instructions it should come with a key to unlock and detach it however speaking with the seller they didn't receive a key when it came from auction, is it something I can get a hold of, or are the specific to the tow bar?

Also is there anyway I can update the voice recognition the steering wheel has the icon however when I go through the menu the section on the voice recognition is greyed out now going to assume this option was chosen on my car original but is there anyway I can get it installed?

As far as the towbar is concerned I have a Volvo fitted removable and it came with 2 keys. I only presume they are different but don't know for sure. Having said that I keep mine fitted all the time. It doesn't hit my shins or my wifes when loading and it forms an extra rear end defence for car park shunters as evidenced in dents to the towball cup.

There is a number on the key barrel. You can order keys for Thule towbars on eBay for a few pounds.
I ordered a key, but the bar was very well siezed indeed, so I just left it on!

Find the key number off the barrel of the lock. Should be something like”1D34”.

Then go to replacementkeys.co.uk and search on vehicle keys, then from the drop down menu select tow bar keys. Select the number key you want and the quantity. It’s very easy and the keys I bought were a perfect fit?

Going to sound stupid here but how would I find that?

When I press the voice button on the wheel nothing happens but if I find it through the info centre I can see all the options but they aren't able to be selected.
