Stereo/DVD: - Bluetooth Audio Adapter for MY11 XC90

Hi,

New to the forum but I have trawled through an cannot find anything recent on this topic. Apologies if I have missed it though.

I have a MY11 XC90 with a USB connector in the glove box. Have used it with a usb stick and ipod ok but would like to use my iPhone. However I don't want to shut my iPhone away in the glove box. I have the Volvo Bluetooth handsfree for the phone but no Bluetooth for music (amazed that Volvo thought this was acceptable!)

I have seen a number of Bluetooth adapters deigned for older iPhone / iPod docking stations (30-pin apple connector). I have tried a cheap one of these (VicTsing White Wireless Bluetooth A2DP Music Audio Receiver Adapter for iPod... Amazon £8) but the Volvo does not see the device as a connected USB device or ipod / iphone.

I am assuming that these devices 'emulate' the iphone / ipod in some way. I have tried the one I bought on an old clock radio with an ipod dock and as soon as you plug it in the clock radio recognises it as being an ipod plugged in. You can then stream music to it via Bluetooth.

I was wondering if anyone had found a device like this that works with the Volvo?

Best have a look at Volvotech in Holland who have a number of solutions depending on your current configuration... great response time too so send them an email and they will guide you.
