Default Swedish companion for my V60 polestar

Well, I bought a 2007 MY 9-3 Aero convertible 2.0T. Not perfect, but very good for the price paid. Slow of course compared to my V60 Polestar but on the few sunny days, lovely to use and drive.

Anyhow, I joined a Saab owners forum. Somehow, someone has found out that peanut butter renovates faded black/ grey textured exterior parts. I was very sceptical, but it actually works! Smooth peanut butter is better of course, but even with the 20 year old economy jar of crunchy stuff I found in the back of a cupboard it worked OK !

Welcome to the world of Saab, owned loads of them, most recently a gorgeous 2.8v6 twin scroll turbo 9-3 cabriolet, stunning fun car, loved it!!

I was a member of uksaabs forever but left, it may have improved, and there are some wonderful people on there but the moderation spoilt it. Sound familiar?

Very happy for you :-) Despite loving my V70 I do miss my Saabs. IMHO the 9-3 Cabrios were the best looking of all the 9-3 era Saabs.

The moderation hasn’t changed a bit. Providing constructive feedback really doesn’t seem to be appreciated.

Bought our first Saab in 1972, then had them until 2015, I have difficulty in counting them. At one time for more than 10 years we had two of them. The Turbo 9-5 was excellent but was very heavy on tyres.

I liked the Saab Tech Talk forum, lots of knowledgeable members.

An amusing book that has a Saab/Volvo subplot called "A Man called Ove" by Fredrik Backman is well worth a read, it has been made into a film as well.
