I purchased the FAG wheel bearing two weeks ago from ECP and it was just the bearing, no bolts.

I succumbed to the same dumbf*&%ery. Ordered and fitted an SKF part [I assumed SKF would be equal to OEM, as they are renowned in bearing-world]
However I never noticed the old cover late still in situ. Cue a few weeks of trying to sort out the ABS/DTSC and I had to pull off the bearing where I discovered the cover. Pumelled it out and now we're working as we should.
I'm posting the late response just in case anyone lately has the same sort of issues. Incidentally, ECP were outrageous even with a 50% discount. I recommend SKF direct. £97 in VAT for a known brand part, delivered [inc new bolts] -
SKF Direct

Does anyone else have any tricks for the one awkward bolt that you can only just get to [lower rwd bolt] I had to use a cranked closed end spanner until I could crack the bearing and pull it away a bit and then get a ratcheting spanner in. The bolt itself couldn't be changed without separating the lower joint.
