Default Driver Information Messages

I have a 2014 S80 D4 Lux with 39k on the clock. It is overdue for a service but I am not overly concerned about that as the car isn't being driven due to the current Covid 19 situation. Yesterday I started the car and the engine management symbol came on with the message Engine system - Service urgent.
My question is can I drive the car in this state or do I have to wait until the dealerships reopen to get it investigated?

That message usually means a sensor has failed on the engine. They will either drive ok, or in limp mode with much reduced power.

You’ll probably get better information in the correct section. This is for cars upto 2007.
