The car has the light grey engine cover and the later injection management on the passenger side (left)
The Log book suggests that it is 185 bhp (71 code) HPI have it recorded as 185 and so does my insurance company The car also drives well on the move
However the code sticker on the cam belt cover reads D5244T suggesting 163 Bhp or do D5,s all read this
Should it read D5244(T4) also emissions are listed as 179 on paperwork
(6 speed Manual)

I enjoy the car but of course I would like it to be the 185 because I would feel so much more important !

The emissions of 179g/km for your car would suggest that the engine is a later 2.4D and should be a D5244T5 type.

Thank you for your reply
However it appears that both the D5244T4(185) and D5244T5 (163) Have the same 179 Co2 Rating (Manual Box)
I think the conclusion is the mine is the 185 due to all documentation chassis numbers ,Badging, Rocker cover colour, injection system , date MY etc and also the physical performance charicteristics i.e max tourque at 2000 not 1750

Best Regards

Is it not also the case that only the 185 version has the swirl arm?

Yes looks very cheap and is for a volvo part, but as above if yours has one its a 185 bhp.

Good day all,
I just ran a Carfax on potentially my first volvo (2007 S60 D5)
however it states it running 126 BHP /93 KW

How complicated could it be to tune it up to 163 or 185 bhp?
are there any fundamental differences considering its the same engine block?

thanks in advance for any information

Edit: It has light grey engine cover witch makes it even more confusing
