Default Timing belt kit and aux belt kit

I’m looking for a reasonable quality and price kit for both, including pulleys, tensioners, water pump and crankshaft pulley bolt. The Gates timing kit looks fine for just under £100, but I can’t find a Gates aux belt kit. I also need sufficient coolant and distilled water. Does anyone know of a kit for the lot?

I'd recommend using genuine Volvo parts. Go to your dealership, or try Ebay. I've purchased parts from the below seller, which are genuine at trade price. You can also give them a call, quote your reg & tell them what you need and the parts will be with you in a few days.

Is genuine so much better than a Gates kit? £260 vs. £150. It’s my second car for dog walking, tip runs and collecting takeaways (keeps the smell out of my XC60). 3000 miles/year now, so doubt it would wear out before it ages.

I always use genuine Volvo parts where critical - including timing belts and associated parts. However I think all the kits I've bought for the PSA/Ford engines (2.0D & 1.6D) have been Gates belts inside. That still doesn't absolutely mean the Volvo supplied ones are the same as the ones sold by Gates.
