Default 240 front Strut assembly

Hi mates,

As some of you already know (remember) I am still looking for a pair of front struts (strut and seat assembly) in very good condition (with NO RUST at all) as mines rusted badly.

See the attached scheme, parts marked 4 and 5.

If someone has 1 or 2 (preferably) struts with no rust or only surface rust or if you see on ebay or elsewhere a pair thanks for telling.

Best regards,

Vic.

You realise that if it is only surface rust, they can be ground down (or shot blasted if you want them to really last), red oxide primered, and painted black?

I realize that but trust me (as I've been 'around cars' for 20 years, grew-up with them in fact) that in my case it is more than surface rust.
But, fortunately, I have already found replacements from Germany.
Thanks for the hint.

Glad you're now sorted. Replacement spring pans used to be available, maybe still are, that could be welded on to replaced the old rusty ones. Bangernomics at its potentially dangerous best.................
