1. Is the pollen filter blocked?
2. Does the engine get warm, IE temp needle sit half way?

Id guess heater valve and pollen filter both need changing. If the needle doesnt sit bang in the middle then you need a new thermostat.

Didn't we discuss recently that the x40 has no heater valve? The filter would cut off flow as well, rather than heat.

Matrix prob'ly full of radweld and egg! :-)

Flush the matrix. Can be done without removing it.

It's possible it's got air trapped in it. Driving in clockwise circles in a local car-park solved mine, could hear it bubbling through under the dash. Make sure to top it up.

Heater matrix may be blocked & could probably be solved by flushing it through?
The engine temperature gauge should rise to about half way position, if it doesn't rise to halfway, or takes a long time to get to halfway, then the thermostat may be stuck open & if that's the case, it will need replacing

I'm just gonna sit back and watch on this one

...

Seriously though, if the temp gauge doesn't get halfway I'd be looking at thermostat. Very common issue on these, but an easy and cheap job to do.

You're overreacting, we merely discussed the heater system of the x40 and the value of a heater valve in the system. Not everything on the internet is a catfight
