Amazon dash cover replacement
I've just removed the old cracked dash cover and adhesive from my late Amazon and I'm about to fit a new Brookhouse one. It seems fairly straightforward, but does anyone with experience have any advice? For example, the area around the instrument binnacle looks like it may need to be trimmed a little to show the chrome surround. Cheers

Hi ,
I would clean the dash and then apply some double sided tape or more permant adhesive which will stop it lifting with heat . Once the dashtop is stuck down screw the back screws back in that holds the dash in car to centre the dashtop in the correct placement use then the chrome dash trimm to hold with clips then trimm gently with a craft knife , then do the clock binnacle aswell with a craft knife as until you have it held down it may not seat correct if you cut before hand . All the best Robert.w

Many thanks for the advice Robert. It took me about an hour and half to fit the dash cover, but I'm very pleased with the outcome (see photo). I thought the most difficult bit was going to be the chrome trim strip, but it was reasonably straightforward in the end. Securing the small nut and bolt retainers at the ends was quite challenging though if you happen to have big mits like me......

Hi sky surfer ,
Massive difference I bet looks fantastic, I ment to say about the little nuts behind at the corners also in the middle most try to pull them off as they think just clips hold all the way along but then kink the chrome trimm badly . Well done another job completed All the best Robert.w
