I am still dealing with the same salesman who I met on my first visit back in 1994 and have even bought cars from him unseen as I have absolute trust in both him and the dealership.
When I tried to book my last XC60 in for service with the 'Local' they quoted me for a full cambelt service even though the car didn't match either of the criteria for it (10yrs or 108K), car was at 5½yrs & about 60,000. When questioned they wouldn't give any explanation why.
Spoke to another dealer in North Yorks who I've used in the past & explained the situation, they suggested that the best approach was to repeat the 54k service (which had been stamped by a non dealer) & take it from there. The local weren't forthcoming with a courtesy car either & generally gave the impression that they couldn't be A***ed as they hadn't supplied the car. Lost out in the end as earlier this year swapped to a newer XC60 from the said NY dealer based purely on previous service & customer care.
