Looking forward to seeing everyone as apparently the wife is feeling well enough for the 2 hour trip.

It was good to meet a few forum members and put names to faces.
We had to leave early as there was work to do at home. Sorry if it's a little "classic bias" but that's what interests me and i'm sure someone else will post pics of later cars.. |

Had a good day today but it went very quickly. Managed a quick look round the fort and had some lunch when the rain was at it's worst though.
I wanted to have a chat with the owner of the red 740 Turbo but it was gone when I got back. Anyone know who owns it ? Forgot to say thanks to the guys who organise and sort everything out on the day, thanks. Last edited by Steve940estate; May 19th, 2013 at 21:16. |

Fantastic day despite the odd rain shower.
Met lots of new faces and even got mistaken for an official Lol.A tall gentleman asked me if an amazon steering wheel would fit his PV 544?. Um not sure but nothing Volvo do is that simple so given the age gap I would doubt it."Oh I though you were a Volvo expert"Who me I'm just an ordinary member by the way sir are you a member or a forum user? I take the gentleman over to get the necessary paperwork.Job done! Met Peakunder and his charming wife and chatted about everything,Nice to meet you both at long last. Didn't win anything on the raffle and didn't win any trophies. No surprise there then. Just like to thank all involved in organising the event and the ever important judges on the day.You know who you are. Pictures will be added later. Regards Brian. |

Had a great day out today, rain was a bit of a pain but in a way it helped show off some of the great waxing jobs people had done on their cars. Met some new people and had some very interesting chats.
Was thrilled to get Best in Class for my S60 R Big congratulations to Doorman for his pristine V70 R Well done to V70 Graham for his highly commended V70 T5 And Relfski for her Runner Up in the S60 Class And took a few FaceOff pics of Doormans and V70Grahams cars: And a couple of Stribos C70 T5 Im sure other people have pics so ill let them post some of the other cars that turned up. Big thanks to the organisers and look forward to the National BKV.

I didn't get any pictures, wasn't really awake enough to pick up the camera when I left home.
Had a great day though, sorry to all if I came across zombie like at any point... I did nearly miss judging the lovely maroon S90/960 (sorry, I didn't see which) but caught it in the end!

Myself and the co organiser Nigel Ayling were delighted at the attendance which exceeded expectations mainly because of the weather forcast being over the top OK it did rain a littrle but the sun did come out at around the lime we wrapped up, ref the queries on whose car was whose PM me and I will check the lists/ marking forms for it,
Again thanks for those who made the effort to come and the numerous poeple who made the day a success:- good show by the performance guys, helpers and judges most importantly the members for coming. John Smith |
