S40 V40 Cars: twanging noise under car when changing gears

last few days when i change from 1st to 2nd gear on my s40

i get this twanging noise like a spring has came unstuck

this only happens when i first set off

throughout the drive it disappears

any one have any experience or knowledge that could help me out please

thanks in advance

probably one of the front anti roll bar bushes has slipped out , the repair kit contains new bushes and a retaining plate to hold them in .

It sounds like your ABS self testing. My V50 used to do it when I first pulled away in the morning and then that was it for the rest of the day.
