Default SatNav issues XC60 2009

Recently bought XC60, 2009, 80K miles. Factory-fitted satnav worked fine when bought 2 months ago, but problem since 2-3 weeks ago: When I start car up, the satnav fires up fine, and it ALWAYS accurately shows location and movement of my car as I drive. HOWEVER, more often than not, and even when I use one of the Stored Locations, as soon as I get in the car and choose a route, the message comes up "ROUTE CANNOT BE FOUND", even though the satnav for that destination has been used many times previously (& even if the destination is just a few miles away). Why might that be? Randomly, after maybe 5 or 10 mins and repeated attempts, it DOES give me the route.

Sounds daft, but it coincided with the colder weather we have had. Might that affect the operation of the main unit?

Suggestions please. The disc is old (& I can cope with that), but I can't believe that that is the reason the satnav chooses when to work and when not to.

Thanks for reading!
