Default P1800ES Re-Chroming

Can anyone advise if any of the P1800ES chromed parts are difficult to re-chrome? If they're brass, then they should be OK, but judging by the bubbling/pitted look of some parts such as tailgate handle and rear light surrounds, I wonder if they're an aluminium/zinc alloy which I believe can be tricky or hard to find someone to do it.
I realise it a costly process but prefer to keep as much of the original car as possible.

Hi ya ,

Any brass items like you say no problem straight forward , the stainless naturally you would keep or buy new .

Now ! The rest is that horrible penta metal - metal dust moulded that pits heavily it’s not worth it to be fair unless door handles and you cannot find better but most stuff like rear tailgate handle you can buy new from brookhouse parts LTD So would go that route if it was me .

Hope that helps

Kind regards
