2005 C70 Cupholder question?!
Hi Folks sorry if this isnt the correct place for this.
I've got a 2005 C70 2.0 (MK1) and I am forever spilling drinks on my lap due to not having a cup holder.. I saw on Autotrader someone selling their C70 had a cup holder that pops out of the armrest! (pic attached) Does anyone know where to get one of these? and would it require the full armrest replacement or can one be fitted into the standard arm rest? Any other cup holder suggestions appreciated, apart from those horrible ones that clip onto the air vents.. Thanks! Rory |

Best place to look in ebay, I got one for my V70 there.
Just two screws fix the arm rest to the center console. If you can't get the same colour to match your interior it's possible to swop the top cover. Beware though, they're quite hard to find... Last edited by volvo again; Jul 20th, 2019 at 16:54. |

The cup holder is built into the armrest hinged top. But (and It's a big "but"), if you can find one, there are two negative possibilities:
* the bits at the bottom to stop the cup falling through tend to have snapped off * the whole caboodle has broken off. If you can get the bits, they are doddle to change. 5 minutes with a torx thingy and the job's done. Try putting a request in the "Wants" bit at the top of the sub-forum coz someone might be breaking a C/V70 somewhere

Doing 1,000 miles a week, the lack of a cup holder is a big let down on this model. A simple trip to KFC always ends with a wet crotch.
I never knew they were fitted (I assume as options) on the odd one.

Cup holders were fitted as part of the GT spec. They are quite flimsy, so you may still end up with a wet crotch.

Volvo part number is 9499406
You can get it from Skandix (and I presume from Volvo). http://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts...e-kit/1030291/ I don't know if it comes in colours other than grey. Steve
