760 GLE spark plugs

Can anyone tell me the correct plugs for a '88 "F" reg 760 GLE please. I'm not sure which engine it has, I think it's the B280E. Is it possible to tell by looking at the VIN Plate? Regards. G.

An 88 model will most likely be a B280E if you are Uk based. The easiest way to check is to see if your car has a catalytic converter or not. If it does it's a B280F, if not then it's an 'E'.

Re plugs I always use NGK's in mine, although the Haynes manual reccomends Champion RS9YCC's (only because Haynes are sponsored by Champion). I wouldn't put Champions in it even if they were the only ones available as I've found their quality to be lacking somewhat.

Thank you, I too am a big fan of NGK's using them in my MB and BMW airhead m/cycle. Could you possibly be more specific as to type of NGK please. Regards. G.
