Default V70 D5 163 turbo actuator replacement

I carried out a vacuum test and it does not hold vacuum very well. I have no faults etc just found it while testing engine mounts (needs replacing) now blocked off while finding time to replace them. While I replace the actuator I'm thinking to clean the vnt. Any tips? How long to remove etc. Do I need replacement seals?

Hello i would try before you take all apart. Try the Winns turbo cleaner....this , you can get it on ebay https://www.wynns.eu/product/turbo-cleaner/.

Just take the tube on the cold side of the turbo and squirt the can in i used half a can and it did wonders....

Spraying anything in to the cold side is not a good idea as it has to go in to the intercooler, the VNT That gets all the carbon and sticks its on the hot side,

i have removed the tube that comes from the air box into the turbo avoiding the MAF.... thats how Wynns tell you to do, so i did. And there was a notorious difference......
