Hi,
Unfortunately I couldn’t get the forum user support map at the start of this thread to load. Is there anyone in the Southampton area who has diagnostic kit to read a W reg V70. It is displaying an SRS warning light.
Many thanks in advance

Has anyone managed to get the map of guys with a code reader open? Getting a warning message about anti skid service required - car hunting, and pulling against automatic transition

Map isn’t working. Does anyone around northern Hampshire (close to Basingstoke) have a VIDA/DICE that works? Need something scanning.

Did have my own. But it didn’t work with my car (faulty Chinese copy) so sent it back for a refund.

I've got a knockoff DICE with VIDA, in Warrington (I'm often in south Manchester, sometimes in Burton-on-Trent, sometimes elsewhere)

Reader works fine for codes on newer OBD-II cars, but it won't talk to the S40/V40 1.9D ECU. (Not that it ever said much.)

Had my codes read, cleared the temporary ones, at 'The Clutch Centre' in Crowlas, Cornwall. No charge.

Even gave me a print out....

may not be the right thread but is a simple software question.

I am about to get my new trailer unit logged into the car system(XC60 2010), the local main dealer, who I begrudge paying a penny to, is too busy to do it until early July.

Do all software installs for addons have to be done by main dealer, do they have a total monopoly on this feature? or are there service centres with the capabilities to do it?

Yes only Volvo dealers or authorised repairers can do software , that is very unreasonable of them if they cannot spend you 20 minutes labour in the next 6 weeks ! sounds like you have fallen out with them though .

Evening, Are there any volvo members withing the Derby or surrounding area that would be able to run a VIDA diagnosis on my XC90? This would be muchh appraciated as it has become dangerous for my wife as it has cut out a couple of times whilst driving?

It would probably be useful to get that map working again......
