Changed all 4 tyres on the car and had the tracking done.
Car pulled a little bit to the left.
Makes a big difference now the tracking is done.

Replaced the high beam bulbs with some Osram Cool Blue Intense 4200k bulbs. What a difference it has made. Also discovered that the genuine Volvo turbo control valve that I fitted around 12000 miles ago has failed with a split diaphragm.

changed the high pressure power steering pipe .its quite tricky to do with just ramps on the drive due to the amount of bends on it. £160 from volvo had to order it in over night

After being without the car for a while (in dock waiting for parts!) got it back earlier in the week. Yesterday was the first opportunity to use it, and as it was a lovely crisp day, I had the top down.

Got the D5 xc70 from 2 axle stands and 2 ramps to 4 axle stands in order to check the AWD worked after last weeks haldex pump change
Got it back onto rear wheels then topped off the haldex oil.

Moved onto changed the rear diff oil in the xc70.

Took way longer than it should have as the filler plug fell and disappeared on top of the plastic diff guard.

I got my ‘05 V70 D5 Down a hill round the back of Dyrham in wiltshire.
Doesn’t sound like much but the snow and ice we had made it treacherous beyond words, suffice to say there are definitely times when you want the ABS to just stop ABSing....

Replaced the bonnet catch, with the switch on it, on Saturday.
I can see the lights flashing again when I lock the car.

Out of curiosity, where you able to change the HP hose without lowering subframe or disconnecting the rack? I did my rack and hoses last year and that HP hose was a royal pain even with the subframe lowered!!! Good on you!

replaced the rad fan with a wreckyard one. Wow, that is one bit of engineering that they got right - super easy job to pull out and replace...even in -10degC!

Up until yesterday it has been too cold to confirm whether the doner fan worked but it finally got warm enough for it to run...nice and quietly. Lovely. The old one sound like the car was preparing to head down a runway for a flight!
