Default Intermittent clicking under dash

Hi,
Had an intermittent start problem a while back which I managed to rectify by fitting new fuel pump relay, crank sensor etc. I've noticed recently that there is an intermittent clicking coming from the area under the dash where the fuel pump relay lives - two clicks then a seven second gap, then two clicks then seven second gap and so on. Sounds like a relay clicking on and off. My question is - is there another relay under there that would actuate in an on / off way like this? Car's running fine - just worried it might be something like a relay on its way out?

Thanks

Chris

They do sometimes seem to make this clicking noise. There was a thread several years ago where several people have reported the noise, with no apparent cause nor ill effects.

My present 240 doesn't do this, but a previous one would make a single loud click, sounding like a relay, about once every few weeks. No one knew what it was. Because it only did it once and was impossible to replicate, it was untraceable.
