V50 Electrics : - Stereo issues

A up guys i had a 2 din touch screen stereo thing from wish and the connectors to fit the stereo my v50 06 plate are completely wrong and i really dont want to start cutting at the wires to try to get it work so does anyone no what the wire harness adaptor is called and were to go get it from plz as im stuck and dont no what alse i can do sorry if its bit blunt as i new to these furm things lol

Unless it's the BluePower head unit, you're probably out of luck.

Lol sorry for late reply i brought it off joom so its made from over seas beleive it or not it has no name other than its a 7 inc touch screen made for volvo so they say the connectors have come with the new stereo but the wires that is in the box have been spliced and i really dont want to start cutting at wires to get it to work

as the V50 has fibre optic connections between the screen, the fm/am module and the amp
and each part is coded to each other and the car.

And the screen for the radio is also the screen for the heating controls

a standard china 2din unit will not fit the hole
will not connect to the fibre optic connections,
will not power the amp
and will not give you the heater controls on the screen

send it back it wont work
learn what is in the car before buying thinking you can throw any china 2din thing in and it works

Thanks for reply off the top of your head do you have an idea what stereos do fit?? As im still in the dark with it really as only just purchaced the car..

you have the choice
the one that came with the car
Pay ££££ to volvo to upgrade it

buy a "bluepower" unit, get ZERO customer support and have bits missing from the box
get limited functionality.

if you search then you will see all the answers as this has been asked many many times

you can add to the system
BUT you need MOST - OFF which is a volvo main dealer job BEFORE you change anything
and any parts you add will be in the £200+ price point and Need to be specific for the Level of system in your V50
