You will notice a power loss.

That 2.0D engine is great in a Ford Mondeo but might be a bit weedy for the much heavier V70.

It depends upon how important power and performance are to you.

The 2.0D is quite a good engine with a lovely smooth delivery and is very at home.... in the V50. My wife ran one for 3 years.

But in the bigger V70, whilst it will be fine around town, the Volvo 5 cylinder lumps are better in every way.

On the 2.0D V70 I think they use the Ford MMT6 rather than the Volvo M66 - but it's a reasonable box of cogs and quite smooth and long lived.
