Vida Dice Expert West Yorks area?

Well I have tried my best to equip myself with Volvo diagnostic equipment to turn off the airbag light.

I bought a Dell 32bit laptop, Win7, all the right spec. I bought the Volvo diagnostic tool on ebay with the Vida software disc. Then I have learned I cannot revert to IE9 and it seems that IE11 does not work with Vida.

I have copied the patch over, tried all of that, but Vida won't boot up so I think it is an IE11 compatibility issue.

I am an amateur/intermediary level computer user and not a programmer. I am running out of steam with what is quite a complex bit of equipment given the software challenges!

I have now started reading a post on Matthew's Volvo Site about moving Vida to Google Chrome, but its starting to do my head in a bit. I like doing oil changes and servicing brakes, and polishing paintwork, not faffing with computers!

Just wondered if there are any friendly and competent Vida Dice users / IT experts/ Volvo enthusiasts in West Yorks who might be interested/kind enough to advise.......

Vida 2014D. Win 7 Pro, 110GB HD free, 4GB RAM, 32 bit.

One weird thing is that the video on the CD visible on Team Player only seems to show the user persisting but failing to apply the patch, it is like a wind-up. Can't work out why it would appear so.... The disc is white and blank faced, I thought it would be a Volvo CD....

Why did you think it would be a VOLVO CD Did you pay £1000, and £6000 a year for subs,

I bought in good faith I am a novice, I thought it might say Volvo on it like the Dice unit stickers....

Wouldn't call myself an expert but I'm in Huddersfield and have successfully installed Vida before. Where are you?

If you bought anywhere other than Volvo, you’ve bought a counterfeit item to be honest.

Has Vida installed but won’t run? Or if it’s failing, what error does it say?
