18s on a v70?
Has anyone put 18s on a v70? I am upgrading my alloys and any advice on whether 18s would fit would help. Would they scrub?

Depends on your model, width of tyre and it's profile but I've seen a classic shape V70 with 19s sooo...

I have a t5 and the width is 8 i think. Sounds promising. Would I have to do anything to the car to fit bigger wheels?

Two wheeled lycra lout

You might find them rubbing. Different stop blocks on the wishbones will sort that out but increase the turning circle (bad as it is already).

If 8,5x19" with 225/35R19s with an ET40 fit, then an 18" will easily fit!

205/55-16 tyres would give something of the appearance wanted and would give the same turning radius as the local parson's V70 petrol 140 with 195/65-15s. If you wanted a wider tyre, then you could mount wicked 215/55-16s and have only a little larger turning radius. 17" wheels and 225 mm wide tyres are ill advised on a V70. 18" wheels (with what width tyres!?) are a serious degradation of performance. In a supermarket car park I recently saw a guy have to saw back and forth to get out of a straight-in parking slot. He had just told me his RWD car was riding on 24" wheels! The tyres were 35 or 30 profile, 'he couldn't remember'. See where you are headed? How long will it be before you need 20"s and then after that 22"s with solid rubber tyres like a warehouse forklift. And your memory will begin to fade . . .
