Amazon: upper conrol arm bushings

Next project is upper control arm bushings. Any tips or advice beyond the service manual directions ?

On rear axle? That’s the only one I could not undo, the axle to control arm was ok but the one to chassis is solid, have been spraying with rust loosner for the last few months and will have another go when the weather warms up, this one is tricky if the bolt is rusted into the chassis sawing the bolt either side of the bush still leaves the bolt stuck in the chassis, this one I might have to take to the garage and use an induction heater

On the front end. The rear end won't get done until the rear end gets rebuilt with taller gears.

Ah ok I call that the upper A arm, il keep an eye on this as I am soon to start this job, full poly bush of upper and lower A arms, I have all the bits just waiting for the weather to warm up

I’m far from the most experienced here but on my first Amazon I replaced all the bushings in the whole car and the only really hard one was the large one in back ( ‘67, so the later design) which in retrospect I should have just left there because the rubber was still quite intact.
Also found that I didn’t need a press for anything, removing or installing, excepting the aforementioned rear trailing arm. I replaced all with urethane with the exception of one end of the Panhard bar following the advice of the wizards in this forum, which I believe was probably easier than rubber.

If you are tackling the lower/inner A arm bushes dowse daily with PB Blaster or similar until you get round to doing the job. The skinny through bolt either comes out easy or is REALLY stuck. Sometimes needs heat and hammers. Be prepared to but new ones.
