Default V40 wheels

Hi
After many pleasurable miles in a 2007 V50, yet another aircon condensor failure has forced me into considering a change.
I'm tempted by a V40 1.6l SE Lux but this comes with 17" wheels. I'm not a fan of wheels like this, not wishing to be on first name terms with every pothole and cateye on the road.
The dealer also has an ES for sale with 16" wheels.
Before I go in and make a fool of myself (easily done), would the 16" wheels be a straight swap for 17" wheels without any need for suspension adjustment?
I'm presuming that the dealer would see the 17" wheels on the ES as an "upgrade".
Thanks in advance for any advice, but please don't tell me the 17" wheels "look better" - I can't see them when I'm driving, but can certainly feel them!
