You might want to look carefully at that exhaust because it is not mated to a Royce engine...

The customer wanted it built like that to be used as a driver , always thought rollers of this era were reliable and could be used daily .

Why oh why would you go to all that trouble and expense and have that nasty nasty nasty bit of pine for a dashboard?!

I doubt that is his concern, although I must admit I was looking more at the engine install.

Does let the side down somewhat.

My thoughts aswell, it's the first thing you notice about the interior. Overall a good show of engineering but with none of the proper Craftsmanship of the original Roller.

Okay, I have stared at this for 5 minutes now and I can not see how you can get a view of the dashboard. Has someone removed a picture? I appreciate aficionados may dislike aspects but I think it looks stunning. I wouldn't want one, a Jag is my cup of tea, but it still impresses.

There are more pictures in the link.

If a jag is more your thing, there was a MkII with an XKR engine in it at one of the Goodwood Breakfast Clubs last year. So much awesome in one car!

Thanks for that. Fair point about the dash now I have seen it.

There was a Jag gathering at a National Trust venue up here a couple of years ago. There was a Jag from every era and it was wonderful. It was a sunny day as well so all the soft tops had their roofs down, the doors were all open. Lovely. I just have to wait until my kids have grown up so that I can afford one, and its upkeep.
