Post Oil level sensor fault

Recently had a new oil level sensor fitted and since having it fitted about half a mile into my journey its flashing up on the dash that I need to top up 0.5L

I've checked the oil level on the dip stick and it's on the max ( checked when the cars been parked over night )

The garage has re calibrated the sensor but it's still coming up on the dash that It needs 0.5L of oil put in.

Has anyone come across this issue?

If so what was the fix?

You need to put your car spec in a signature at the bottom of your postings so that everyone can see what car you have every time you post. See my signature below as an example.

There are known oil fill situations with certain engines prior to a wide ranging software upgrade. The definition of full was changed to be an actual 75% fill on D5 diesels as during DPF regeneration it was possible under certain conditions for fuel to end up in the oil sump and raise the level of the oil above a safe working level. Your indicated 0.5 litre underfill might be the 75% fill and so be correctly filled. The software may or may not have been updated but you also need to know what fill level the garage adopted.

If this is a V70 2.4 D5 then max on the dipstick is too much, needs to be at 3/4.
