Try doing a search, this has been covered in great depth many times and it depends very much on how much you are thinking of spending.

What are you after, high performance, good value all-rounder, cheap but good?

Cheers,
John

Conti SportContact2's and Uniroyal Rainsport1's get my vote.

Michelin Pilot's are too soft.

Goodyear Eagles are meant to be excellent.

Conti contact2 for me.

Just do a search on google, cheap tyres and loads of suppliers come up.

I heard dunlop has a new quiet tyre.

This could be it the new tyre SP30

IMHO - Pilot sport are excellent tyres, I had them on my S60 2.0T the grip was outstanding in the wet and dry, and so so quite...

While as mentioned on the 'other tyre thread that is active' I have a set of Eagle F1s at the moment and it is like having 4 solid rubber kids scooter tyres on the car, soon as the chance comes I will go back to Pilots

Just my opinion though

Default tyres

for a 2002 V70 T5 I wore out a set of P6000's in 50,000 miles and I never liked them in rain or snow.

I replaced them with Nokian's at the recommendation of my mechanic. The total cost was almost 900 but these are the BEST tires I have ever had on any car. (I've had volvos for more than 30 years). They have a funny looking tread but the car goes through anything including 6" of snow on Lake Sunapee this winter.

Just swapped from Eagle F1 GSD3s to Michelin Pilot Sport 2 all round. The difference in ride quality is very noticable, much smoother and better bump absorption. Doesn't feel quite as direct in the corners but still good. I am happy with this as I now no longer have a bone shaking ride in town.
