My bonnet is latching OK both sides but the switch on the left side is open circuit when bonnet closed, hence alarm not arming.
Anyone tried removing / repairing the switch ? (Currently I've got the switch bypassed.)

You've got to take the front bumper off and then unscrew the slam panel. It's a pretty straightforward job but annoying. https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showp...postcount=2364 and https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showp...postcount=2533 I took both catches out, soaked them in degreaser and then gave them lots of wiggling and more degreaser. Then dried them out and gave a squirt of 3-in-1 oil and haven't had any issues since. |
