2014/x VIDA Query

Does anyone have a 2014/x Vida/DICE combo that might recognise my 2015MY V70 D5.
The 2013 setup currently used obviously won't work but if I can get my car read, I'll see about updating lappy (from XP) and other bits and pieces.

The D5 is a long term motor, so getting sorted with VIDA/DICE makes sense to me.

Not really, Unless 2014 works with a 2015 Model year there's no point "upgrading"
I have no issue buying a copy of VIDA 2014, but its pointless if it don't work on a 2015MY car.
I'm trying to save myself buying something that won't work for me.

Hence my query.

The 2013 VIDA copy works for other Volvo's I own but not the new vehicle I bought in December last year.

I have 2014 and it finds my mates new 2015 v40 t4. Tho not actually plugged it in because of warranty Ect I have entered his details into the veichle profile and it's brings up the information Ect. You could pm me your vin and I'll see if it finds yours?

One possibility is that You are right on the chanegeover point where you need the NEW VIDA 2015
( which cannot be counterfeited ) , The old VIDA does not work on 2016 and some late 2015 models .
. why wont 2013 work?

When Vin entered an error message

"The VIN can not be decoded on selected Partner Group. Please try to change to another Partner Group.

Check VIN and try again."

The VIN entered is

YV1 BW83A1F13*****

I'm assuming VIDA 2013 don't like something in the early part of the VIN, rather than the chassis number bit at the end.

Yep done that .Except Partner Group is EUR/INT, except Arabia and China.
Have now tried all the other groups too - thanks for info - it was worth a try.

Tried them already but no joy- guess they don't fiddle with their "newer" motors the same as we do..
