Is there a procedure for bedding in new brake discs and pads on the S40 mk2

Every car I have had has said to avoid using the brakes too much when first fitted.

I think in reality the fact the pads are not bed in means they will have a reduced braking service hence won’t offer great performance and you may find you get hot spots where the friction materials are not properly bedding in.

I would just drive sensibly for the next 250 miles myself.

Replaced all discs and pads recently, followed the same general bedding guidance as I always had (see below), I reckon that applies to most road cars unless some special carbon/floating/race brakes etc.
