Default Dogs and 90's

I'm looking for a well fitting and suitable (medium size)dog transport solution for our 90.
There will be occasions when we need to use one of the rear seats whilst transporting the pooch so ideally a crate of some sort that it slightly narrower than half way so that the other seat can be used.

I've had a quick look around, but it appears the option are buy a cheap rectangular generic cage or spend a fortune on a custom one.

If anyone has a good solution or a link to something that they have that works well please let me know.

Many thanks

Leave the dog in the tailgate and put the children in a roofbox or leave at home

Couple of points. If you have a rectangular one check that not only will it fit with the seat up but that you can get it in and out like that if you need to. Ours has an end door as well as a side one which we use but you have to put it in place before raising the seat. The other option we have is the metal guard that fits behind both rear seats. We use this for both luggage as well as the dog when we need all 7 seats.

keep an eye on ebay for a trans K9 box... they are a few quid but very safe, secure and solid. you can get full width or haf width ones to fit the 90.

Simple wire cage but fits well

I have the model GYC04, although it is sold out !
Only modification needed is to remove the speaker/3rd row seat belt cover so the top of the cage fits flush against side of boot

Depending on size of pooch.

I use a true love dog harness and they sell seat belt adapter clips.

He sits on a seat and we just attach him to the seat belt.

Volvo sell as standard a cargo net that completely covers of the back seats.

I own one and paid about £15 second hand (genuine Volvo). Surely that would be best wouldn’t it?
