Default Shock absorbers

I've been looking for a new suspension set up for my 850t5 estate for a short while now....and have come up with nothing really!!
Europarts dont list Bilstein rear shocks for a T5, which I find hard to believe, as they list a boge shock for all models!!
Can anyone advise on complete packages are available, or the part no's required if I buy seperate shocks and springs. I would also like to know, if you fit standard shocks, do the springs come away from their seats if you jack the car?

Thanx in anticipation for any replies....

Nigel

Hi Nigel,

For starters you can get bilstens for the backs from variety of performace stors and they are not that expensive a few quid more than the 'boge'/oems.

As for jacking up the car is concerned i had a nightmare trying to get my shocks off the sealant had glued them in solid!

On the rears there is a nut that keeps the spring in place this will need undoing and the spring will pop out and the bump stop can be removed also.

For the fronts a spring-compressor is needed before you drop out the strut.

hope this helps,

mark.
