Wil this product be as god as a proper (ie: labelled as) mbc or does it work in a slightly different way?.

no.

If used correctly, it can be ok, but to be perfectly honest, many a ford turbo engine blow up has been because of one of these being incorrectly setup.

bleed valves are fine as long as you don't adjust the boost without having the fuelling properley checked.

and that is properley the most expensive bleed valve ive ever seen lol

hi ,saw this yesterday and as youve not had many answers, thought id have a go, maybe of some help.

bleed valves do a diff job to an MBC.
a BV does just that, bleeds pressure away from the wastegate actuator causing the wastegate to open slower/later increasing the boost.

an MBC doesnt bleed but holds the pressure back until it reaches the users pre set psi and then releases the pressure in one go to actuate the wastegate.

i presume the MBC would provide more power due to none of the boost pressure being lost to actuator/wastegate creep, which i believe the BV allows.

theres loads of very knowledgeble forced induction guys on here, if your (we) are lucky maybe some will explain the pro's and cons with more authority than im able to.

wayne, as a matter of interest i have fitted a bv in my bcs to actuator pipe with a view to bleeding off some psi in a controlled (me??) manor therefore dealying the actuator opening thus theoretically allowing me a longer boost period....i have not tried it yet cos i have not fitted my new boost gauge...im not sure how this is going to react/behave with my rica but the results are non the less going to be interesting...lol
cheers
