Chipping a V70 D5
can anybody give me advice on chipping a V70 D5. ive had a look on www.volvotuninguk.com and they list an ECU upgrade but im worried about the effects it has on the car.
Obviously its gonna make it a lot faster but are there gonna be any other things i need to worry about first. is the standard clutch/gearbox gonna be able to take the power for example? i guess im just looking for people who have had their car chipped and their experiences thanks. |

ok, so judging from your thread the best thing is going to be a live mapping session...?
i was looking more for a plug-in ECU upgrade, has anybody had one of these done and any thing they would like to tell me about it... |

ECU Upgrades (Motronic +)
I too am looking into this. Try this link for some great info:
http://www.ipdusa.com/ProductsCat.as...432&RootID=629 In the US here, IPD will re-flash (is that the right term?) your unit and mail it back. Round trip with overnight shipping usually takes 3 days according to them. You'd be better off going local to avoid duty problems, unless you have someone who commutes between US and UK, who could bring back and forth for you. Good Luck!
