Maybe a Silly Question
BUT can i turn a 940 TD into a 'performing car' its the 'volvo engine' not the Audi/VW one are there any easy ways of increasing its performance apart from injecting LPG he he

My understanding is that a 940TD is the turbodiesel, in which case it definately does have the 2.4litre 6 cyl VW engine similar to that found in the LT35 van, but with the addition of a turbo and intercooler. If this is the case then the addition of a boost gauge (to allow you to see what you're doing) and a Manual Boost Controller (aka MBC) set to allow the turbo to boost at 15psi should see a very healthy increase in power. 15psi is about the safe limit on the TDi engine before the injection pump needs to be tweaked - this is, however, best left to a diesel engine expert.
