If you changed the question to how long have you been driving a Swedish car I would be able to answer
Since 1971
I have enjoyed the Swedish design and construction.

We currently have examples of both Swedish marques and would agree re their design and construction, 'xsaab'.

They are both excellent but (were) also very different cars. Until Volvo introduced the 850, we saw their staid, RWD products as the Shire horses of the automobile world, and the FWD turbocharged Saabs as the thoroughbreds of the racetrack.

Admittedly, with Saab's demise and Volvo's current offerings, that distinction no longer applies.

Regards, John.

We bought our 855 T5 CD in 2000 after I could not get my children's wendy house in the boot of my Passat TDI. We still have it, 22 years later and my daughter, who first sat in it at the age of 2, is now driving around in it after her VW Golf gave up the ghost.

She was very surprised when she filled it up as it runs on LPG and she was all ready to pay £38 when the assistant said "£28 please"

I am hoping she will get another car soon, so that I can put the Volvo back on my drive.

Owned a Volvo for a little over a year now. That means I've had a Volvo for around half of my car owning life.

Default Volvo 740 owner

Well apart from a Volvo pickup with a blow head gasket that I bought at a furniture auction, I've been a Volvo owner for about a month now. I bought a 1988 740 for less than scrap value, and I'm learning about it, and fixing the minor problems that I find.
