Default Bargain 850 Brake Discs?

I recently purchased (on eBay of course!) a new set of rear and a new set of front discs for an 850 GLE 2.5 auto first registered in September 1994 at a price far below even trade price. They were listed as suitable for this model but I note that the front pair (vented) have only 4 bolt holes (part number on the box BG2742) while the rear pair (solid) have 5 (part number on the box BG2842). As it will be a while before I need these I shall be putting them away but perhaps someone could tell me now if I have the right items. I have checked the technical pages but they seem to relate to American part numbers.

You'll either have a 4 stud pattern or 5, not both.

Depending on your car, it looks like one of the sets will fit and the other won't!

Go have a look at your wheels see if you have 4 or 5 bolts. Unless your car is a very early model, I would suspect that the 4 stud discs for the front are the wrong set for your car.

Thanks for the help. A photo of rear discs for this model in another eBay listing confirms what you say: the rear discs are the correct 5 bolt type. If the number of bolts should be five, front and rear, it looks like the front ones are wrong (and have been wrongly listed by the seller as suitable - which should mean free uplift and refund according to their terms and conditions).

Return them, providing a 4 stud pattern disc as well as a 5 stud pattern is just odd!!!

It's like buying a set of four tyres all different sizes!
