Bob.
Now that is lovely.

Talking of keeping cars, I wish I'd taken on my dad's old Lancia Beta when he offered it but I was still bringing up a young family.

I've had it over 12 years now and don't plan on parting with it anytime soon for whatever reason!
A Rover 827 definitely counts. When was the last time I saw one of those?

An Omega eh! ? About 15 yrs ago I was thrust into one of those to do my skid pan training. I can hear the exhaust burble from here. Took some controlling mind

Had at least one "big" Vauxhall[sometimes up to three]since the late '90s mainly Senators but also a Monza and this is the second Omega I've owned.

Our non-Volvos are all Hondas: two Preludes (SORN), an Accord Type R and a DB9 Integra.

Yep, you definitely have a fleet.

Any pictures of the W126?

Not enough people hold on to the offerings from Japan and then they all but disappear.

I remember the 4 wheel steer Honda Prelude in the late 80's.

Is the car in your signature an MG Magnette?

Sorry, the W126 should have been under the heading 'current wish list'. There's no specific one in mind yet - I missed out on a lovely champagne gold 500SEL with brown velour the other week. For me, it must be a 500 or 560, with a high spec and the horrible velour seats - the nastier the colour (both exterior and interior) the better.

A friend has one, and it is the most comfortable, relaxing thing to drive. Despite his having 240bhp (standard for the 5.0) you never feel the need to use it.

This is currently on eBay, looks good but the prices for W126 are all over the place at the moment so it's hard to ascribe a value to it. It's the cheapest 560SEL widely advertised recently, but I've privately been offered a white one with brown velour for £2500 needing a bit of work. I'd never normally buy a white car... decisions to make

Also, I really don't need another car, let alone one that is 5.3m long, I don't have storage for, and is likely to do sub 10MPG round town, 15-20 on a long run...
