No, they provide their name and code as standard, although you can ask that it be omitted if you so wish.

For the avoidance of doubt: all the plates I have purchased from Plates for Cars are road legal with a legal font, spacing and complete with post code of the manufacturer and BS number.

Whilst it is possible to purchase 'show plates' from multiple suppliers it is the customers responsibility to ensure plates used for road use are legal.

It may be better to just use a GB sticker instead of a EU stars number plate. The GB Stars logo may become invalid in about 11 months or so.

Some countries already do not accept the GB /EU stars number plate as legal.

So the interesting question will be, will the GB 'with stars' number plate be illegal in Europe (therefore necessitating a complete replacement) or do we simply attach a traditional GB sticker to the back of the car.

On this forum I read that strictly speaking the Swiss do not accept the EU style number plate with GB and the stars they require a full size sticker. I have also read that the Norwegians also require the full size sticker - I am now deducing that come Brexit day EU countries will not accept the EU number plate with GB in it and will require a GB sticker to be stuck on the back.
Whether the rules will be enforced is another matter, but if you get pulled over for some other crime against society they will then throw the book at you to maximise the fine.

If this is correct, then Norway and Switzerland presumably do not accept any 'EU style plates' from any 28 member states.

So you’re taking something you read on a Forum as true and re telling it as an EU countries sticking the boot into the UK ‘scare story’. As Nigel Day says, if true, I t’s not a UK issue, it’s a problem non EU countries have with all EU type plates. Why not just spin the story the other way? Calculate how much the U.K. can fine EU motorists who visit the UK with non compliant number plates and figure out how much money that will make for the country?

I know that sounds terribly snippy on my part, but hearing half truths re-told just annoys me more than it ought to.

See the
https://www.theaa.com/european-break...what-do-i-need

and specifically Note 5 in the
Compulsory kit – our handy PDF guide
download where is says

GB Stickers are compulsory within the EU unless your UK registration plates display the GB Euro- symbol (Europlates) which became a legal option from 21 March 2001. The Euro plate must comply with the new British Standard (BS AU 145d). The Euro plate is only legally recognised in the EU; it is still a requirement to display a GB sticker when travelling outside the EU.

I then extrapolated the in or out EU regulation to a time when we are not in the EU
